Remote Learning

At Horn Park Primary School, we believe that children learn best when they attend school and benefit from high-quality, face-to-face teaching. Remote learning is only used in exceptional circumstances when attendance at school is not possible.

When remote learning may be provided

Remote learning may be used if the school, or part of the school, is unable to open safely, or when an individual pupil is temporarily unable to attend school but is well enough to continue learning. Any arrangements for individual pupils will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How learning will be provided

Where remote learning is required, learning will be provided through Google Classroom. In the event of a school closure, families will be informed as quickly as possible and given details of how to access learning from home.

Children will be provided with a range of activities appropriate to their age and stage of learning, including core subjects and wider curriculum learning. Learning may be adapted to meet individual needs where appropriate.

Support for families

If you require support accessing Google Classroom, a suitable device, or home learning materials, please contact the school. We will do our best to help families overcome any barriers to learning.
